Artist's Description

On the back roads of North Carolina, you see quite a lot. Most of the time, it's wide open fields with cows, lots of grass and a beautiful barn and silo that are the focal points, but this time, it was so sad. This beautiful old relic stood behind a new construction and it was slowly being pushed back. The ones building the Dollar General, had thrown trash at the foot of the barn. I couldn't capture it all because it was heartbreaking. It looked like a dump below her....so I opted to shoot above it, to hopefully capture what she used to be. I realize that times change and there has to be progress, but it makes me sad to see the past just going away in front of our eyes!
