Description
This sweet little Sparrow was eating from one of my old feeders this morning. Just as I clicked to take the picture, he apparently heard me and turned his little head to seemingly say, "What was that"?
I love watching the little birds when they come to feed. I see all kinds this time of year. Some are sweet and gentle like the Carolina Chickadees, Goldfinches, then there are the Cowbirds...they always come around to argue and act up. These little sparrows always fly away immediately when the larger birds decide to dine.

A crisp, pretty sparrow whose bright rufous cap both provides a splash of color and makes adults fairly easy to identify. Chipping Sparrows are common across North America wherever trees are interspersed with grassy openings. Their loud, trilling songs are one of the most common sounds of spring woodlands and suburbs.
