Description
This beautiful male Eastern Bluebird is watching over his mate as she is adding to the nest they started together. He makes sure that any bird that comes near his birdhouse is driven away. The color of the male is a brilliant blue with yellow feathers and a white chest. The female is more muted in her colors. Both work on the nest but I've noticed that he allows her to do most of the work while he stands guard.
