This beautiful white church was sitting on the side of a mountain in Watauga County, North Carolina. I tried to find out the history or even a name, but no luck. The front window appeared to have been busted out, maybe with rocks. I think it's such a shame for anyone to vandalize a church. So it just sits there, surrounded by the mountains and streams but apparently abandoned. So sad!
Photography is my OBSESSION, along with my love for God, family, and friends. I love taking the back roads and finding old treasures along the way. So if you're interested in looking through my lens, please join me on my journey! I found my keys....let's go.......

Beautiful! I used to visit little churches like this in East Tennessee and they were still functioning in the 1970s.
Cynthia Wolfe replied:
I wish this was still functioning. It just seems so sad to see it empty. Thank you for your kind words Sarah!
