This beautiful Royal, glass key, antique typewriter sits in the Mayberry Courthouse in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. The Andy Griffith Show was based on this small town and you can still visit the Courthouse and see the two jails inside. Wally's Service Station is beside it with the Hotel. We took two of our grandchildren who happen to love the reruns of the show. They had so much fun wandering the streets and wishing they could see the people who once lived in that small town.
Photography is my OBSESSION, along with my love for God, family, and friends. I love taking the back roads and finding old treasures along the way. So if you're interested in looking through my lens, please join me on my journey! I found my keys....let's go.......

Cynthia, what a beautiful portrait of this vintage typewriter... brings back memories of when I practiced on my parent's typewriter. Love the texture and classic feel of this exquisite image that makes me yearn for simpler times... Awesome work on this beautiful image! F/L

Lovely! I'm old enough to remember my parents using the old typewriters and never thought of them as particularly attractive, but there it is: lovely image.
Cynthia Wolfe replied:
awww, thank you Sarah. I actually learned to type on an oldie similar to this!
