Meet Smokey. A beautiful Australian Shepherd who's life started off badly.
He was sold at the age of 2 weeks. I was broken when I heard his story. (I have been a Pomeranian breeder ever since 1974 and I am appalled at irresponsible breeders). This sweet dog needed his mom for a lot longer than 2 weeks. Puppies need all the love and nutrition that the mom can give, but at the same time, puppies need to be socialized with humans. This little boy was neither, so the result is a very frightened puppy. Thankfully he was adopted by a family that loves him and has been given a second chance for a happy life.
Personal note: PLEASE, don't take on the responsibility of owning a dog if you aren't ready to commit to his well being. There are too many dogs that are abandoned every day because of bad breeders and buyers that aren't approaching this process the correct way.
